Hiroyuki “Larry” Kasuga (M.S. in industrial engineering, 1953), 93, reflects on his experiences coming to the UI in 1951 on a Government Aid and Relief In Occupied Areas scholarship. He describes getting his degree in the Iowa Field House from then-President Virgil Hancher as "the happiest moment of my life.”

UI Health Care will change its leadership structure on Feb. 15, 2016. The new leadership structure will combine two existing positions, those of University of Iowa vice president for medical affairs and dean of the UI Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, into a single position.
