UI research advances understanding of how children learn words

University of Iowa researchers are partnering with school districts in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City to enroll elementary-age children in novel research to better understand how they identify, and recognize, words. The project, led by Bob McMurray, professor in the UI’s Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, begins this spring.

Iowa researchers study cellular network vulnerabilities

Researchers in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Iowa co-authored a research study that investigated vulnerabilities in 4G and 5G cellular phone networks. The researchers presented the findings at the Network and Distributed System Security (NDSS) Symposium in San Diego.
