The University of Iowa is flipping the traditionally somber tone of Veterans Day on its head and returning to its original upbeat, celebratory feel with a Hawaiian celebration. Veteran Vitality 2013 will be Monday, Nov. 11, and includes a 6,000-flag display, a kickoff celebration, a series of panels, and a luau.

The University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts will produce a new adaptation of Molière’s "The Imaginary Invalid" that will include new music and choreography from members of the artistic team. The production will open at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the David Thayer Theatre of the UI Theatre Building.
