UI graduate student Lindsay Eaves joined an international team of researchers this month to excavate early human fossil remains 100 feet below ground in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site in South Africa. The cave is nearly inaccessible, but scientists hope the discovery there will revolutionize paleoarcheology.
