In an effort to connect students, parents, and other community members with resources to help them find meals, University of Iowa undergraduate Russell Martin created a website that maps food and meals available at area schools, food banks, and soup kitchens.

As a response to the COVID-19 crisis, UIP recently began making hand sanitizer. The majority of the sanitizer will be acquired by University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

UI alum James Hatch, archivist of black theater, dies at 91

James V. Hatch, a historian of black theater who, with his wife, the artist and filmmaker Camille Billops, created a vast archive of interviews with black actors, singers, writers and artists, died on Feb. 14 in Manhattan. He was 91.
