Officers from the University of Iowa Department of Public Safety took home first and third place titles in this year's K9 Olympics.

University of Iowa Vice President for Research and Economic Development Dan Reed will discuss the technical and political history of the Internet, current issues surrounding global Internet governance, the future of the Internet and global communications, and the social and economic implications for the State of Iowa Sept. 23 in Des Moines.

The C-SPAN bus will visit the University of Iowa campus on Thursday, Sept. 11 and Friday, Sept. 12. Students who visit the bus will have the opportunity to learn about C-SPAN internships, test their knowledge of public affairs through quizzes, and interact with touch screen computers that demonstrate many of C-SPAN's web resources.
