On Feb. 6, the University of Iowa and the University of Iowa Foundation announced the successful conclusion of For Iowa. Forever More: The Campaign for the University of Iowa. The campaign yielded $1.975 billion from more than 272,000 alumni and friends of the university.

When Scott Beckner took the reins as the UI public safety director, he identified connecting with the student body as one of his priorities. One of the means to that end was building relationships with students by forming teams of officers to take on students in intramural sports.
