The Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa welcomes 350 high school students as it opens this fall, part of a unique partnership including the UI Tippie College of Business and the Colleges of Education and Engineering, which will conduct research, education, and teacher development on site.

The University of Iowa transportation service Cambus has a new route to serve students living on the west side of campus. The West Dorm Shuttle will transport students from the new Petersen Residence Hall and neighboring dormitories to the east side of campus. The service begins Aug. 24.

Iowa Edge is offered to students who come from underrepresented backgrounds and first-generation college students. The idea behind the program is to ease student concerns and ensure that participants successfully transition into college life at the UI.

The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, has announced the dates of the public forums involving the finalists to become the next president at the University of Iowa. The forums will occur over two weeks to allow time for the public and campus constituencies to provide feedback to the board.
