First-year students in the Tippie College of Business learned the basics of business dining at an etiquette dinner Oct. 17 at the University of Iowa. Not only does this make students better dining partners, but more important, it could give them a competitive edge in the business world when they are trying to land a future internship or job.

The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free jazz recital by the UI Latin Jazz Ensemble at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus. The recital will feature music from composers Rafael Dos Santos (Brazilian pianist/educator and former UI jazz graduate student), Victor Mendoza, Ray Vega, and others.
