Satellites can improve regional air quality forecasting

University of Iowa researchers have found that data gathered from geostationary satellites—satellites commonly used for telecommunications and orbiting about 22,000 miles above the equator—can greatly improve air quality forecasting. Results appear in the journal "Geophysical Research Letters."

AIB College of Business to become the University of Iowa Des Moines campus

AIB College of Business Jan. 26 announced that it will become the University of Iowa Des Moines campus. Transition is expected to take at least a year, but the two schools will immediately establish an integration team to begin the process. Eventually Iowa will own AIB’s land and buildings.
