Life after cancer

University of Iowa graduate student Emily Inman was diagnosed with a condition called aplastic anemia was she was 10 years old. She now plans to use her own experience with pediatric cancer to help other young survivors.

Herky took to the dance floor along with University of Iowa students, oncology patients, and their family members and friends during the 20th UI Dance Marathon. The Big Event raised $1,801,032.20—$300,000 more than last year and the largest amount in the event’s history.

Madison Street lane closure begins Feb. 17

Two lanes of Madison Street near the Iowa Memorial Union, in the one-block area south of Jefferson Street and north of Iowa Avenue, will be closed from February 17 to March 27. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times.
