The University of Iowa School of Music will present a free performance by the UI Chamber Orchestra, conducted by William LaRue Jones, director of orchestral studies in the UI School of Music, at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, in Riverside Recital Hall on the UI campus.
The program will feature:
- Passione Amorosa of two Double Bass by Giovanni Bottesini— Volkan Orhon and Patricia Silva, double bass
- Passacaglia on a theme by Handel by Johan Halvorsen— Katherine Wolfe, violin; Anthony Arnone, cello
- Sonata No. 2 in A Minor for solo violin, BWV 1003 by J. S. Bach— Scott Conklin, violin
- Phantasie for viola and piano by York Bowen— Christine Rutledge, viola; David Gompper, piano
The School of Music is part of the Division of Performing Arts in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
