The University of Iowa offers American Red Cross swim lessons that are taught year-round for all ages. Each class is taught by a certified Water Safety Instructor and includes fun activities and lessons to help the participant learn how to swim and how to be safe in and around the water.

University of Iowa head wrestling coach Tom Brands has signed a five-year contract to continue as head coach of the Hawkeye wrestling program through the 2016-17 season. The Hawkeyes have won three NCAA championships during Brands' first six years at the helm.
