A team led by the University of Iowa has unearthed some remains of a second mammoth, a rarity for a single site located in the Midwest, scientists associated with the dig announced Friday.

A building with thousands of insects sounds like a big bug problem. But for the UI Museum of Natural History, the challenge is keeping them in the best possible condition. Thanks to a grant from the State Historical Society of Iowa, the museum will upgrade its century-old entomology collection.
