The University of Iowa Department of Dance will present a faculty/graduate concert at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 21-23, in Space Place Theater in North Hall. The program will feature world premiere pieces from UI faculty and student choreographers. UI dance students will perform the works.

Improving Our Workplace Award nominations sought

Mark Bernat has long wanted to perform the six cello suites by Johann Sebastian Bach in one marathon concert, only on Bernat’s instrument of choice, the double bass. In 2013, the performing arts coordinator for UIHC's Project Art will have the opportunity to play Bach back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back.

Kelly and Tammy Rundle of Fourth Wall Films, producers of the Emmy-nominated documentary "Country School: One Room-One Nation" and the award- winning "Lost Nation: The Ioway 1," will hold a world premiere of their new documentaries "Lost Nation: The Ioway 2 & 3" at the University of Iowa Museum of Natural History Saturday, Feb. 23.

UI president's Golden Pledge making an impact

Moreover, among the hospitals that could provide an estimate, the cost quoted for the procedure ranged from $11,100 to $125,798—a greater than ten-fold difference.

Hannah Walsh, a UI sophomore political science major from Spirit Lake, Iowa, was recently appointed to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa. Walsh is the lone student member on the nine-member board and is ready to be the voice of the students of the UI, Iowa State University, and University of Northern Iowa.
