The response rate for the University of Iowa’s 2017 “Speak Out Iowa” campus climate survey on sexual misconduct more than doubled from its first iteration, and data have been used to inform a new three-year campus plan developed by the UI Anti-Violence Coalition.
New budget model increases collegiate control

The UI is using a new budget model for the General Education Fund to go into effect for the coming fiscal year, FY 2019. The model builds on efforts from previous years to create a collaborative, value-driven budget process, and gives colleges greater control over their budgets.

Kayla Faust, a student in the UI College of Public Health, is launching a study to see how farmers react while driving farm vehicles. The study uses the university’s National Advanced Driving Simulator (NADS) and the findings can help make rural roads safer.
