Dominique Badajoz was drawn to the University of Iowa by the prospect of learning more about her Native American heritage with the nearby Meskwaki community. She also found an academic track that is preparing her for a dream job at Apple.

The University of Iowa search committee for the new dean of the Tippie College of Business has selected three final candidates. The candidates will participate in virtual visits over the next two weeks to participate in public forums and meet with faculty, staff, and leadership at Tippie.

Gabriele Villarini, professor of civil and environmental engineering in the College of Engineering and director of IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering, has been named editor-in-chief for the scientific journal Advances in Water Resources. He began as the top editor on Oct. 1.
