UI revokes student organization status for four fraternities after alcohol, hazing incidents

The University of Iowa has removed the registered student organization status for the Kappa Sigma, Delta Chi, and Sigma Nu fraternity chapters, as well as the Sigma Alpha Epsilon colony. The action comes after the conclusion of comprehensive investigations into incidents involving hazing and alcohol.

UI Libraries and student government collaborate to reduce textbook costs

UI Libraries and UI Student Government are easing some of the burden of high textbook costs with a collaborative project called the Textbook Affordability Pilot (TAP). Under TAP, a committee of library staff and UISG representatives collect donated textbooks and purchase new ones for “high impact courses.”
