Chalmers "Bump" Elliott, who guided men's athletics at the University of Iowa to unprecedented growth and success during his 21 years as director of athletics, passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, at 94 years of age.

The Department of Athletics will host upcoming faculty and staff appreciation games by offering discounted tickets to all UI faculty and staff members, as well as their family and friends.

The law firm reviewing the University of Iowa’s employment practices has submitted its report on the UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. They found employees “clearly understood” the importance of diversity within the department, actively recruit women and minority candidates, and know what to do if someone reports discrimination or harassment.
