Red Watch Band training gives students knowledge, awareness, and skills to prevent toxic drinking deaths. Health Iowa brought the program to the University of Iowa three years ago; since then, more than 1,300 UI students have gone through the training.

Center for Computer Aided Design Open House set for May 1, 3, and 9

The University of Iowa College of Engineering’s Center for Computer Aided Design (CCAD) will host an open house at three different research sites and on three different days in May. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet CCAD project directors and tour labs.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2012, the University of Iowa and the UI Foundation celebrated the first-ever Phil’s Day on campus. Short for philanthropy, “Phil” represents all who donate to the UI, as well as the students, faculty, and staff who benefit from those gifts.

University of Iowa graduating gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer (GLBTQ) students and their allies are invited to the UI Rainbow Graduation 2012, an annual celebration at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber. Though free, registration is requested by Tuesday, May 1.
