Oculus Rift ATV simulator is more than just a crazy video game — it could actually save lives

"Working with engineers from UI College of Engineering’s Center for Computer-Aided Design, researchers (at the University of Iowa) have created an ambitious virtual reality simulator which mimics the effects of driving an ATV, complete with Oculus Rift headset, motion-sensing suit, and a moving platform that simulates changes in terrain."
Aniket Pramanik, Hemant Aggarwal, and Mathews Jacob won Best Machine Learning Paper at the International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging recently in Venice, Italy.
