Terry Branstad for his FY 2015 budget recommendations for the UI, particularly the 4 percent increase in general university operating appropriations, which will allow the university to freeze tuition for its students for a second consecutive year.

Former University of Iowa defensive coordinator Norm Parker passed away early Monday morning at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Parker, who retired from the Iowa coaching staff following the 2011 season, was 72.
