The annual "Cancer in Iowa" report issued by the State Health Registry of Iowa, based in the University of Iowa College of Public Health, will be released at a special press briefing at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 10.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a course designed to empower family caregivers of older adults to take better care of themselves. Some 300 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the President's List for the 2013 fall semester. The UI is partnering with Merit, the flagship software created by read Media in New York, to promote and recognize outstanding student achievement on campus.

Laura Corley Lavine, associate professor of entomology at Washington State University, will present a lecture on the evolution of sexually selected traits in beetles at 3:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, in 70 Van Allen Hall on the UI campus.
