For the first time, University Communication and Marketing staff are providing live streams of all UI commencement ceremonies so parents and others who live far away can experience this educational milestone.

The spring 2014 UI Tippie School of Management MBA commencement ceremony will be streamed live from "Iowa Now." Streaming will begin shortly before the ceremony begins Friday, May 16, at 10 a.m. Archival video will replace the live stream on the "Iowa Now" page shortly after the ceremony concludes.

A group of University of Iowa business students spent the year helping a multi-billion dollar health care information management company figure out how to get more consumers to better manage their health care using online portals.

A new study led by the University of Iowa reports a drug may help lower a particular type of cholesterol. The researchers say the drug, evolocumab, boosts statins, which help lower cholesterol. Results appear in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
