Hayden Fry, who inherited a struggling University of Iowa football program and returned it to national prominence during his 20 seasons as head coach, died Tuesday at 90 years of age.

Harriet B. Nembhard, the Eric R. Smith Professor of Engineering and head of the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, has been named dean of the University of Iowa College of Engineering. She will begin June 29.
