UI Symphony Band celebrates 50th anniversary of Soviet Union tour

In the spring of 1966, in the midst of the Cold War, the University of Iowa Symphony Band embarked on a historic European tour, including a 19-day stretch in the Soviet Union. Fifty years later, former members are returning to Iowa City for the milestone reunion.
