Researchers hypothesize how the universe became filled with light

University of Iowa researchers have a new explanation for how the universe changed from a place of darkness to one filled with light. They propose that black holes within galaxies produce winds strong enough to fling out matter, puncturing holes in galaxies that allow light to escape.
