The fourth annual MusicIC, Iowa City’s free summer chamber music festival, promises to be the most dramatic and ambitious yet, featuring the music of Beethoven’s “Kreutzer Sonata,” a play based on Tolstoy’s novella of the same name, which was inspired by Beethoven’s work.

Thousands of students officially became University of Iowa alums this weekend, as commencement ceremonies took place across campus. University Communication and Marketing photographers and videographers took in the scenes at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the Pentacrest, and other locations, helping to capture one of the happiest days on campus.

Former Indy 500 champion Buddy Lazier will compete at the Indianapolis 500 and other events during race week in a car sponsored by the Wynn Institute for Vision Research at the University of Iowa.
