Each year, the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, honors six faculty and six staff at the University of Iowa for their extraordinary contributions and sustained record of excellence. Each award recipient receives $1,000 and is honored at a special awards ceremony and celebration.

Spring 2020 virtual commencement ceremonies

More than 5,400 Iowa students will be awarded degrees after the spring 2020 semester, and many graduates will participate in live-streamed virtual commencement ceremonies, which begin Thursday, May 14, with the College of Pharmacy and end on Friday, June 5, with the College of Dentistry.
Cornelia Lang, Joshua Weiner appointed associate deans by College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
