Andrew Solomon will speak at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 10, in the Dean Ballroom of the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel. Solomon is the author of the acclaimed "Far From the Tree: Parents, Children and the Search for Identity," and is an outspoken activist for LGBT rights, among other causes.
