The University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business is making changes to its graduate business education programs to focus on opportunities for growth in its part-time MBA and specialized master’s degree offerings while phasing out the full-time MBA program.

An initiative to help Iowans maintain their hearing health is being launched at Fry Fest, right before the start of a new and exciting—and likely noisy—football season. HawkEars is the brainchild of UI audiology graduate student Kevin Kock.

At residence halls across the University of Iowa campus, roommates are meeting for the first time. Although many communicated via social media before they arrived, the first face-to-face meeting can still be nerve-wracking.

The University of Iowa will have two viewing stations on campus Monday, Aug. 21, during the solar eclipse. Each will be equipped with telescopes and free eclipse-viewing glasses. Faculty, staff, and student experts will be on hand to demonstrate safe viewing techniques and answer questions.

This week, nearly 6,700 students are moving into residence halls at the University of Iowa. The swarm of new and returning students brings a palpable, vibrant energy to campus that signals the start of the 2017/18 school year. Classes start Aug. 21.

For years, the College of Dentistry staff had a vision of a wellness garden to beautify the property around the Dental Science Building. A Wellness Grant from liveWELL helped the college realize that dream.
