UI Mock Trial earns national championship bid

The University of Iowa Mock Trial (UIMT) team sent two teams to compete in St. Louis in the American Mock Trial Association’s Opening Round Championship March 15-17. The team earned a bid to the national championship in Washington, D.C.

Lecuona performs for Old Capitol Piano Sunday

The University of Iowa Old Capitol Museum will host a Piano Sundays concert at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in the Senate Chamber. This free, public concert marks the last of the Piano Sundays 2012-2013 series. UI Professor Rene Lecuona will perform select pieces and will be joined by four of her students.

UI students leave Las Vegas to work on reimagining downtown

A group of UI students spent spring break in Las Vegas working on a class project with UI Associate Director David Gould to re-imagine the downtown area. Many of the students say they overcame their initial fears and stereotypes of the city and could envision living there.
