Sherry Watt, a UI associate professor of Higher Education and Student Affairs, was named a 2014 Diamond Honoree by the American College Personnel Association’s College Student Educators International Foundation. Watt is joined by College of Education alumni William Barratt and Becki Elkins who are also being recognized for their contributions.

A steam leak triggered a fire alarm in the University of Iowa Chemistry Building, 251 N. Capitol St., shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday, but no fire, damage or injuries were reported.

The University of Iowa will host scholar and lecturer Alexandre Dauge-Roth Monday, Nov. 11, at 6:30 p.m. in 315 Phillips Hall. Dauge-Roth will use documentary films to explore the voices of survivors and other topics related to the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
