The Tippie College of Business offers workshops at the start of each semester to help faculty and staff learn to pronounce the name of their students from China. The workshops are designed to help the students feel more welcome at UI.

The firm provided an update July 2 during a telephonic meeting of the Presidential Search and Screen Committee.

Jury rules UI did not discriminate in political bias case

After two trials and several appeals spanning the course of the last six years, a jury has ruled that former University of Iowa College of Law Dean Carolyn Jones did not discriminate against Teresa Manning (formerly Teresa Wagner) for her political views or affiliations.

Emily Hughes appointed associate dean for faculty and academic affairs

Hughes will continue her practice of counseling and mentoring junior faculty. After the upcoming year, she will assume official responsibilities to guide the evaluation, tenure, reappointment and promotion processes.

Joseph Yockey appointed inaugural Michael and Brenda Sandler Faculty Fellow in Corporate Law
