UI honors top student employees

The Joffrey Ballet will take to the new Hancher stage this December to perform choreographer Christopher Wheeldon’s reimagining of the classic Nutcracker ballet.

The University of Iowa and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources reached a landmark agreement on Tuesday, April 12, that will help advance the UI’s renewable-energy goals while continuing to protect Iowa’s air quality.

The University of Iowa will announce an air-quality permit with the state of Iowa in a ceremony on Tuesday, April 12, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Old Capitol Town Center.

The annual UI Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women recognized recipients of the Susan C. Buckley Distinguished Achievement Award for Staff; the May Brodbeck Distinguished Achievement Award for Faculty; the Jean Y. Jew Award; and eight students for their work and commitment to women’s issues, diversity, and social activism.

The Efficiency Conference, organized through the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC), will share innovative approaches, identify best practices to streamline processes, and identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and drive cost savings.

Andrew Richter, a second-year dental student, has received a scholarship from the American Dental Association Foundation.
