Some 300 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the President's List for the 2013 fall semester. The UI is partnering with Merit, the flagship software created by read Media in New York, to promote and recognize outstanding student achievement on campus.

When it comes to memory, we don't remember things we hear nearly as well as things we see or touch, scientists say. Researchers at the University of Iowa found our memory for sounds is significantly worse than our memory for visual or tactile things.
