Iowa Writers’ Workshop alumnus named finalist for 2017 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction

Scholars at the University of Iowa and the staff at the UI Press helped University of Houston graduate student Zachary Turpin share his landmark Walt Whitman discovery, a previously unknown 165-year-old novella called “Life and Adventures of Jack Engle,” with the world. UI Press published the book on Feb. 20.
