Tippie students win internships for best NCAA tournament picks

Like many basketball fans, UI students Charlie Ruff and James Micheli participated in an NCAA basketball tournament bracket challenge this spring. But while most such challenges award the winners with a lunch or small cash payoff, Ruff and Micheli won something different—internships.

Matheson named chair of Presidential Committee on Athletics

University of Iowa President J. Bruce Harreld has appointed Dan Matheson the new chair of the Presidential Committee on Athletics. Matheson replaces Liz Hollingworth, who served two years as chair and will begin a two-year term as a faculty athletics representative on the committee.
