JPEC honors student entrepreneurs with best business plans

The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center recently hosted its annual Business Plan Competition, awarding $51,000 in cash prizes to 41 students from all majors across campus who presented the best plans for their business ideas.

Playwright draws on childhood experience for latest production

Leigh Marshall, a MFA playwright in the UI Theatre Arts Program, debuted her play Laterality in February. The play, about twin brothers, one of whom has lung cancer, draws upon Marshall's feelings about death. Marshall's father died of cancer when she was 16 years old.
