Students building hover cars with 3D design

Hover cars soon will fly at M.C. Ginsberg Objects of Art, where middle-school students began taking a class on 3D design this past week. The class is one of several offerings for students in grades 6-8 through the University of Iowa College of Education Belin-Blank Center's one-week Junior Scholars Institute.

Charles City teen gets a jump start on college thanks to UI program

Tyler Babcock, who just finished his junior year at Charles City High School, will start his freshman year at the University of Iowa this fall, thanks to the UI College of Education Belin-Blank Center’s new STEM Academy for high-ability students. He plans to major in mechanical engineering.

'Sesame Street' characters make children more clever

A UI College of Education study showed that children who watched a Sesame Street segment on impulse control could wait nearly four minutes longer for a snack than children who did not see it, in an article on how the show was created to boost children’s confidence and school readiness.

"U.S. News & World Report" has ranked University of Iowa Children’s Hospital in Iowa City in nine specialties in the new 2015-16 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings. UI Children’s Hospital is the only hospital nationally ranked for pediatric care in Iowa.
