Transparency Task Force to meet in Iowa City library tonight

Because of technical difficulties, tonight’s (Tuesday, April 30) public hearing to be held by the Iowa Board of Regents Transparency Task Force is no longer accessible from Muscatine High School as previously announced. Instead, the public hearing will originate from the Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room D, from 6-7:30 p.m.

The University of Iowa School of Art and Art History will host ArtsFest from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 3, in the Studio Arts Building at 1375 Highway 1 West in Iowa City. ArtsFest is a free, interactive art experience that will feature artwork by UI students, as well as demonstrations and hands–on opportunities in studio art and art history.

The University of Iowa School of Urban and Regional Planning, along with the Iowa City UNESCO City of Literature, and the Center for the Living, will host a Jane Jacobs Walk through the emerging neighborhood north of downtown Iowa City from 3-4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4. The walk is free and open to the public.
