Iowa Writers’ Workshop alumnus Jeff Griffin will read from "Lost and" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in a free reading at Prairie Lights Books in downtown Iowa City. The reading also will be streamed live on the University of Iowa Writing University website.

Two individuals—Mike Hoenig and Travis Taylor—will be honored for their contributions to creating awareness and support for those with disabilities at the University of Iowa Disability Celebration Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the University Capitol Centre.
