University of Iowa graduate Jeffrey Kueter has been named president and chief executive officer of the UI Alumni Association. Kueter currently is the president of the George C. Marshall Institute in Arlington, Virginia.

Trapped in grain

The University of Iowa hosts a grain silo rescue demonstration to promote greater safety in agricultural and farming. A professional will climb into a simulated silo filled with grain and demonstrate a potential real-life situation in which a person needs to be rescued from an avalanche of flowing grain. The simulation is Monday, June 9, at 5 p.m. at the UI College of Public Health.
Summer Rep 2014 touring Iowa

Iowa Summer Rep will continue its rich history of summer play production with a touring production of Dorothy Marcic’s "Respect: A Musical Journey of Women." The production will be on tour June 14-27 throughout the state of Iowa while the University of Iowa Theatre Building is closed for major renovations.
