A team of faculty members affiliated with the University of Iowa’s DeLTA Center has been awarded a $5.77 million grant from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to study a critical component of cognitive development known as categorization.
UI students to volunteer in Cuba

University of Iowa students participating in the Dr. Ken Magid Child Advocacy Service Scholarship program will travel to Cuba for the first time this summer as part of the program's annual service trip experience. In 2017, alumni will be able to volunteer as well.

A naturally occurring vitamin, nicotinamide riboside (NR), can lower blood sugar levels, reduce fatty liver, and prevent peripheral nerve damage in mouse models of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes (T2D), says a study by researchers at the University of Iowa and Iowa City VA Health Care System.
