The University of Iowa field hockey team received a special visit from surprise guests Wednesday, April 23 at Grant Field. These were not just any guests; they included the president and chief executive officer of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), field hockey's governing body.

The University of Iowa women's basketball team had fun in 2013-14. The campaign featured 27 wins, equaling the second-highest total in program history, and 14 home wins, also equaling the second-most in school history.

David Cassels Johnson, an assistant professor at the University of Iowa College of Education, has recently released a new book, "Language Policy." It explains critical theories, research methods and findings, while offering new ideas supported by empirical data collection on the topic.
