Jon Teig, or Jon-Jon, as many call him, hasn't let having autism stop him from succeeding. An alumnus of the UI REACH Program, he has been the Cedar Rapids Kernels batboy for more than 10 years and works at Scheels, where he has his own bobblehead sponsored by the company.

The University of Iowa Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development has launched a pilot seed grant program to encourage researchers to use the Central Microscopy Research Facility (CMRF) to help secure further external funding. The deadline has been extended to Nov. 6.

Michael Brownlee, ’01 PharmD, was the recipient of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy’s Genesis Award. Brownlee is Associate Dean for Clinical Education and Clinical Associate Professor at the UI College of Pharmacy, as well as Associate Director and Chief Pharmacy Officer of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
