Former Macbride Raptor Project celebrates new name, focus

The Macbride Raptor Project, a program devoted to the preservation of Iowa’s birds of prey and their natural habitats, announced June 1 that it has changed its name to the Iowa Raptor Project. With a new name comes a shift in focus.
Sidewalk closures along Capitol, Madison, and Washington streets to begin June 3

Certain sidewalk sections will close June 3 for campus construction projects. Facilities Management has provided a map of the closures and has suggested alternate routes for pedestrians.

The University of Iowa is digitizing its fossil collection to make the more than 1 million specimens more accessible to researchers and to the public. The fossils span a vast range of Iowa's geological history, from 500 million years ago to the near-present. It's located in Trowbridge Hall.
