A video recording of the spring 2018 College of Dentistry commencement ceremony is now available for viewing. The event was held Friday, May 25.

University of Iowa students, faculty, staff, and alumni received some of the institution’s highest honors on April 10 at the 101st Finkbine Dinner.

The awards honor the cadets for leadership, academics, and military achievement.

The University of Iowa has joined the American Talent Initiative (ATI), an organization founded to expand access and opportunities for highly talented low- and moderate-income students. As part of ATI, the UI will help develop strategies to attract, enroll, and support low-income students from before college to graduation and beyond.

Hassel Morrison, associate dean of students at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, is the second finalist for the next associate vice president and dean of students. He will give a public presentation from 1 to 1:50 p.m. Thursday, April 26.

University of Iowa thinkers, explorers, mentors, creators, and inventors were celebrated for their work during the Office of Research and Economic Development’s annual Discovery and Innovation Awards Ceremony on April 17.

Kayla Faust, a student in the UI College of Public Health, is launching a study to see how farmers react while driving farm vehicles. The study uses the university’s National Advanced Driving Simulator (NADS) and the findings can help make rural roads safer.

University of Iowa alumnus Kyle Ketelsen, who has performed for the world’s leading opera companies and orchestras, says his degree from the UI prepared him for the spotlight.

University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students have been named to the search committee for a new executive vice president and provost.

During its annual meeting, the Organization of American Historians (OAH) presented Linda Kerber, professor emerita in the Department of History in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, with the prestigious 2018 Roy Rosenzweig Distinguished Service Award.
