Researchers hope study leads to safer farm vehicles

A study from the College of Public Health finds that farm vehicle vibration can significantly contribute to chronic back and muscle pain in farmers who drive them, and researchers hope their study leads to design changes that make farm work less painful.

Dentistry professor Hanan Elgendy uses art to help first-year dental students understand tooth structure and form. Bringing art into the dental simulation lab not only sharpens students’ eye for detail but also helps them create better dental restorations and tooth replacements, says Elgendy, who started teaching tooth art in 2017.
