On June 3, the University of Iowa celebrated the reopening of the Iowa Memorial Union's ground floor. It's the first time the area has been open to the public since the June 2008 flood.

For the first time since it was immersed in floodwater seven years ago, the University of Iowa Memorial Union ground floor will be open to the public. University and local officials will commemorate the re-opening of the 83,000-square-foot space with a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by self-guided tours on June 3.
OneIT leaders seek feedback on TIER initiative project charters

He's president and chief executive officer of the Blues Foundation in Memphis, which is now the largest and most renowned blues organization in the world.

About 5,100 University of Iowa students will mark educational milestones as they receive their degrees at spring 2015 commencement ceremonies. Ceremonies begin Thursday, May 14, with the College of Pharmacy commencement and end Friday, June 5, with the College of Dentistry. All other ceremonies will be held May 15-16.
